7-point regulatory process for air filter design

Due to the different environments, some air filters need to be designed to meet the needs of the new environment. For the targeted design, the following 7-point regulatory process for air filter design is explained by the North Filter:

 

1. The surface wind speed and filtration speed of the air filter affect the efficiency and resistance of the air filter. Generally, the filter speed of the air filter is: coarse filter m / s, medium efficiency, high efficiency filter dm / s, high efficiency filter (2 ~ 3) cm / s. The filter efficiency representation methods include: weight efficiency, counting efficiency, and colorimetric efficiency, turbidity efficiency, etc., which are relatively compared with other physical quantities.

2, the coarse filter is mainly used for ≥5.0μm large particle dust, medium efficiency, high efficiency filter is mainly used for medium particle size dust of ≥1.0μm, sub-high efficiency filter is mainly used for dust of small particles ≥0.5μm The high efficiency filter is mainly used for particle dust of ≥0.1μm.

3, the filter material currently mainly includes: chemical fiber non-woven fabric, glass fiber non-woven fabric, glass fiber paper. The coarse, medium efficiency filter is also made of foam, and the single-use coarse filter is made entirely of paper.

4, medium efficiency, high efficiency, high efficiency, high efficiency filter should not be used independently, should be used in the following combinations: coarse and medium, coarse and medium efficient, coarse and efficient (high and medium effect can replace medium efficiency), this is mainly It is an alternative to consider improving the high efficiency filter.

5. After the regenerative or washable filter material is regenerated and cleaned, the efficiency should not be lower than 85% of the original index, and the allowable is not higher than 115% of the original index.

6, the air filter should meet the fire protection requirements, the paint flash point of the air filter should not be lower than 163 °C.

7. When designing, it is recommended to use twice the initial length as the final length as the calculated length of the filter.
